I've included two bios, one focused on my lecture work and the other on my musical work.
For lectures:
Dr. Mike Daley is a freelance popular music history lecturer around Toronto. He holds a Ph.D in musicology and has published widely on a variety of musical subjects. Mike's well-received lectures on 20th century popular music have gained him a strong following in the GTA. He regularly offers six-week courses at Church of the Redeemer in Toronto. Mike is currently writing a history of live music in the Yorkville coffee house district of Toronto in the 1950s and 1960s.
For musical performances:
Mike Daley is a guitarist and singer based in Toronto. A professional musician for over 35 years, Mike has toured and recorded with Jeff Healey, Classic Albums Live, the Killjoys, Nine Big Dogs and many more. Mike is a longtime member of Fraser/Daley and he holds the position of Assistant Music Director at Church of the Redeemer in Toronto. Mike's lecture-concerts in Toronto and Richmond Hill under the name ‘Dr. Mike Daley Presents’ regularly attract sellout audiences. For more information, go to mikedaleymusic.com.
