Mike Daley - musician, lecturer and musicologist

Thanks for visiting my site. I'm a freelance lecturer/researcher and musician based in Toronto, Canada. You'll find information here on my online video lectures, research and writing, and musical activities. At the moment, I'm undertaking a large research and writing project on the Toronto music scene of 1955-1968.

After creating a series of pre-recorded video courses over the past year, I'm doing something a little different this summer. Every Wednesday from July 14 to August 4, I'll be delivering live Zoom lectures on some of my favourite topics: Leonard Cohen, Carole King, Motown and Simon and Garfunkel. These Zoom lectures will include my usual mix of video, audio clips and deep research and will have interactive question and answer periods at the end. Each one will air twice - at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM so that you can pick the one that fits your schedule.

The lectures can be purchased separately or as a package, which saves you 20%. Of course, I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the lectures or how to watch them if you're a Zoom novice - just reply to this email. Here are the links for tickets and more information.
